Recognition at last!

The birthplace of balti, the Balti Triangle has at last been recognised thanks to Network Rail’s new signage at Birmingham New Street Station. It also recognises other truly unique areas of the second City featuring places such as Bournville, Chinatown, and the Gay Quarter. Fair play to the oft criticised Network Rail for treading where City Council orienteers have failed to tread!

A sort of Balti Blasphemy!

I thought that I’d  seen everything in terms of the corruption of the word ‘Balti’ but Sharwoods have surpassed them with their ‘slow cooked,’ balti sauce.  Slow cooked … NOT a balti: cooked in a pot … NOT a balti: serves four … NOT a balti. No wonder it was a quid a sachet in chain store B and M’s!
